The Korean mobile phone manufacturer company, Samsung launched two new messaging handsets for the Indian market, called the Samsung Chat 322 and Chat 335. With these mobiles, Samsung will provide a better choice in the budget QWERTY range.
The Samsung Chat 322 handset is its first Dual-SIM QWERTY phone and it provides an optical track pad for navigating through menus and options. The device comes with a 2.2-inch LCD display which supports resolution of 220 x 176 pixels. The device has a 1.3 megapixel camera with 4X zoom. The Samsung Chat 322 mobile will be available in Indian market with the price tag of Rs. 4,990.
The Samsung Chat 335 also is a QWERTY phone and has an optical track pad. The handset has a 2.4-inch LQVGA LCD display screen and a 2 megapixel camera. The Samsung Chat 335 can be purchased at retail stores across the country at Rs. 5,800.
Both the Chat 322 and Chat 335 handsets include connectivity features like Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi and 3.5mm audio jack. They both have 45 MB internal memory which can be expanded up to 8 GB. They also offer FM radio and social networking features with access to MySpace, Flicker and Orkut.
The Country Head, Mobile and IT, Ranjit Yadav said, “Consumers are increasingly wanting to stay connected with friends and family through SNS, IM and messaging while being on the move. These new QWERTY phones from Samsung meet their needs through convenient messaging features and at the same time offer differentiated features like Optical track pad, ActiveSync or the Dual SIM Standby feature (Chat 322).
